Claim Your Section

Overview

The "Claim Your Section" feature allows surgeons and residents to specify the sections of a surgery each individual performed. This enables precise tracking and analysis of each team member's contribution to the procedure.

Benefits

The section markings provide several advantages:

• Efficient Navigation: Section markings are displayed on the horizontal timeline, enabling fast access to specific portions of the surgery.
• Feedback Requests (GME): Facilitates feedback requests focused only on sections performed by the designated surgeon or resident.
• Resident Progress Analytics: Helps monitor the progress of residents by measuring the percentage of the surgery they performed.
• Case and Surgeon Statistics: Enhances the accuracy of case and surgeon analytics, ensuring data is relevant by focusing on the specific sections completed by each individual.

How It Works

1. Navigate to the Case Page Open the case page from your dashboard or case list.

   

2. Locate the Section Timeline Find the horizontal section timeline located below the surgical video.

   

3. Select a Section to Claim Click on the specific section of the timeline that you want to claim as performed by a surgeon or resident.

   

4. Assign the Performer Choose the individual who performed that section from the dropdown menu.

   

5. Confirm Your Selection Click "Apply" to save the assignment.

6. Repeat as Needed Follow the same process to mark any additional sections.

• Residents: For tracking progress and gathering feedback on performed sections.
