Monitoring Theator Devices and Units — The Rooms Tab

The Rooms tab in System > Monitoring gives you a real-time view of all Theator equipment at your venue. Use it to check which rooms are online, which units are connected, and whether recording is active.

Who Is This For?

• Biomed engineers responsible for maintaining Theator equipment
• Clinical Engineers who manage the facility's Theator deployment
• Admins who need to check system health

Getting There

Navigate to System > Monitoring, then click the Rooms tab. You can also go directly to:

By Room View

The default view shows one row per operating room.

KPI Cards

Status Indicators

Table Columns

• Room name with status dot and optional alert icon
• Location (venue and site)
• Units — online count vs. total
• Network — network health indicator
• Recording — shows "REC" when actively recording
• Next Case — minutes until the next scheduled case (within 2 hours)
• Auto Rec — whether automatic recording is enabled

Click any row to open the Room Detail drawer, which shows the full connectivity status of every unit in that room.

By Unit View

Switch using the toggle at the top right. This view shows every individual Theator unit.

Table Columns

• Unit name with status dot and optional alert icon
• Room — assigned room (or "Unassigned")
• Location (venue and site)
• Network — network health
• Pedal — green if connected, red if disconnected, N/A if not expected
• Recording — shows "REC" when active
• Last Online — for disconnected units, when they were last seen

Click any row to open the Unit Detail drawer with video input details, connection types, and signal status.

Cross-Referencing with Incidents

A warning triangle icon on a row means there is an active incident for that room or unit. Click the icon to open the incident detail directly from the Rooms tab.

Recommended workflow:

1. Check the Incidents tab for new alerts
2. Acknowledge the incident
3. Switch to Rooms to see current real-time status
4. Go to the room and fix the issue
5. Return to Rooms to verify the fix
6. Switch back to Incidents to resolve with a note

Auto-Refresh

• Room data refreshes every 30 seconds
• Unit data refreshes every 3 minutes
• Active incidents refresh every 60 seconds
