Theator's AI analyzes every recorded procedure automatically. The analysis runs primarily on-premise, on the Theator unit in the operating room, with additional processing in the cloud. Clinical QA is Theator's dedicated team of trained reviewers. The team reviews a small sample of those procedures by hand, which helps keep the insights you see in Theator accurate and consistent.
What Clinical QA does
- Validates the AI's analysis. The AI marks the phases, key steps and events of each procedure. Reviewers check these markings on a small sample of procedures and correct them where needed.
- Keeps results accurate. Corrections are applied directly to the reviewed cases, so their phase timings and analytics reflect what happened in the procedure.
Reviewers work only with de-identified video, inside the Theator platform, through secure, role-based access. They aren't shown which hospital a video comes from. To learn how video is de-identified, see How does the video de-identification work?
