Theator lets you create short video clips from any moment in a recorded surgical case — directly from the case page. Clips can be named and downloaded to your device.
Watch: How to Create a Video Clip
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Open the Video Clips Panel
From the case page, locate the right-hand panel and click Video Clips under the Interactions section.
If no clips have been created yet, you'll see a "No clips created yet for this case" message along with a Create Clip button.
Step 2 — Open the Clip Editor
Click the Create Clip button. A clip editor will appear, showing:
- A clip title field (defaults to "Clip 1")
- Start and end time inputs
Step 3 — Set the Clip Start and End Points
Use the green handles on the progress bar at the bottom of the page to define the portion of the video you want to clip. Drag the left handle to set the start time and the right handle to set the end time.
You can also type the start and end times directly into the input fields in the modal.
Step 4 — Name and Save the Clip
Enter a descriptive name in the Clip title field (e.g., "CVS Confirmation", "Critical View of Safety"), then click Save Clip.
A confirmation toast will appear and the clip will be saved to the case.
Step 5 — Download the Clip
Once saved, the clip appears in the Video Clips panel with a thumbnail preview and its duration. Click the Download button on the clip card to export it as a video file to your device.
