Sharing cases with colleagues within your organization is a great way to collaborate, get feedback, or discuss surgical techniques. Theator makes it easy to share any case you have access to with other users in your organization.
How to Share a Case
- Open the Case Page: Navigate to the case you want to share by selecting it from your case list, search results, or a collection.
- Click the Share Icon: Locate the Share button at the top of the case page. It is represented by a share icon near the case details.
- Select Recipients: A dialog will appear where you can search for and select the users you want to share the case with. Type a name or email to find colleagues within your organization.
- Confirm and Share: Once you have selected your recipients, click Share to send the case. The selected users will receive a notification that a case has been shared with them.
What Happens After Sharing
- The recipient will receive an in-app notification alerting them that a case has been shared with them.
- The shared case will become accessible to the recipient, allowing them to view the recording, timeline, and all associated details.
- Sharing does not transfer ownership -- you remain the case owner and can manage sharing permissions at any time.
Who Can You Share With?
You can share cases with any active user within your organization on Theator. The share dialog will only show users who belong to your organization.
Tips
- Share selectively to keep collaboration focused and relevant.
- Use comments alongside sharing to provide context about what you would like the recipient to review or discuss.
