The Data Export for Research feature allows you to easily export case information into Excel format, streamlining your clinical research process. This powerful tool enables you to customize your data exports based on specific search criteria, making data management and analysis more efficient and accurate.
Accessing the Feature
How to Use Data Export for Research
Step 1: Define Search Criteria
On the "Cases" page, set your desired search criteria, use the regular search functionality as described here.
You can select specific procedure types and time periods to narrow down your data set.
Step 2: Configure Export Settings
Click the "Export" button to open the export dialog.
Enter a name for your export file.
Select the fields you want to include in your export. Fields are organized into categories:
Case (includes mandatory fields like Id and Procedure Type)
Patient
Outcomes
Annotations
Practices
Steps
Events
Tools
Metrics
You can turn entire categories on or off, or select specific fields within each category.
Step 3: Initiate the Export
After configuring your export settings, click "Export now".
You'll see a success message, and the Download manager will open with your pending export file.
Step 4: Access Your Exported Data
The export process runs in the background and typically takes 30-60 seconds to complete.
Once ready, you'll receive:
An app notification
An email with a download link
A download button in the Download manager
