Tagging snapshots helps organize procedural documentation, supports clinical workflows, and simplifies downstream tasks like report generation and education.

Manual Tagging

After capturing a snapshot, you can add one or more descriptive tags. These may include:

  • Anatomical landmarks (for example: Cecum, Rectum)

  • Findings (for example: Polyp, Diverticulosis)

  • Procedure-related stages (for example: Scope In)

Tags can be added or edited at any time, during or after the procedure.

AI Tagging Recommendations

To reduce the time spent on manual tagging, Theator offers AI-powered recommendations based on real-time video analysis.

When a snapshot is taken:

  • A tag suggestion appears in a small popup

  • You can approve or edit it with a single click

  • Tags can also be added by voice during the procedure (for example, “Picture, Cecum”)

These suggestions are generated automatically based on what Theator detects in the field of view.

Currently supported AI tag suggestions include:

  • Cecum

  • Rectum

  • Rectum (retroflexed)

  • Terminal ileum

  • Ileocecal valve

  • Appendix

  • Polyps

  • Diverticulosis

  • Gastroesophageal junction

…and additional tags are being added over time.

Why This Matters

Sites using AI tagging consistently generate more complete and structured documentation. This improves:

  • Diagnostic clarity

  • Report completeness

  • Educational value

  • Post-procedure review and audit readiness

By minimizing the need to manually label each snapshot, Theator allows clinicians to focus on what matters most: the diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
